12th Annual Workers’ Compensation Conference
The 2013 Workers’ Compensation Conference took place on June 10 and 11. Over 1400, an all-time high, workers’ compensation professionals participated in the event. Many sessions and vendors were available for visitors to watch and interact with.
Kid’s Chance of Pennsylvania Inc.
Kid’s Chance of Pennsylvania Inc. provides scholarships to children of parents who have been seriously or fatally injured as a result of a work-related injury. In 2012, the program officially surpassed $1 in total support since it began in 1997.
100th Anniversary of Workers’ Compensation
The Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Act will turn 100 years old on June 2, 2015. The Pennsylvania Bar Association Workers’ Compensation Law Section has created a committee to put together a celebration for this milestone. For more information on this project, visit http://www.wc100pa.org.
